Played 1999-2001, club president and part of the group that restarted the club after it faltered in the mid-90's. It was a humble beginning but Brian Luhrman took over after me and I'm so thrilled to see it thriving and strong today. Matching uniforms and everything! I'm now in NYC pursuing my career in music and still actively playing in net.

Played 1986-1987. Live in Glenview Illinois. I was one of the founding players along with Brian Farrell (listed above) and John Wiedeman (current radio voice of the Chicago Blackhawks). I was the original goalie back in 1986. The first year, we played with 1968 football jerseys donated by the Athletic Director. Hung up the pads years ago as the Jayhawks were my last organized team - Glad to see the program thriving.

I played for KU from 2005-2010. I had a blast over the years traveling to new places with the team and playing competitive hockey all over the nation. I am currently a regional accounts manager for a Hotel/Resort anti-litigation company in MN. I especially encourage all those Minnesota boys to try out for the team, since we are the state of hockey!

Had a great four years playing KU hockey, it made it seem like I didn't just go to school here but got involved in something that was fun. The road trips were always a good time and same with the home games. I am going to be graduating with a Marketing degree in May and joining the real world. I wish I had one more year with this team...
Farrell, Brian

One of the 4 founding fathers of the organ-i-zation in '86 here. Great memories of KU hockey. My senior year, we had no coach and had to play in St. Joe. I was coach, captain and club president. Glad to see the club has grown. I'd love to buy a KU hockey jersey...you guys need to sell those!
Currently live in Glencoe, IL, still playing hockey at Johnny's Icehouse in Chicago and coach my son's Squirt silver team in Winnetka, IL. Go Hawks!

I played for KU from 2004-2008. The experience playing on the KU hockey team will never be understood by an outsider. Your teammates become your best friends, your trips become conversation topics for the rest of your life and traveling all around the country wearing the KU sweater brings more pride than you can imagine! I currently own an internet marketing company in Denver and coach youth hockey.

I played hockey for KU from 2007-2011. During these four years I had the time of my life. I never thought that I would be able to play sport I love, go to school, and be in fraternity all at the same time. Right now I'm about to graduate in May with a degree in Marketing and I hope to get a job in sales.

I was captain and assistant Captain from 1975-1978. Those were tough years. had to petition the student senate every year for funds. Good times though! After I graduated I became a Navy Pilot and got out of the Navy in 1994. Went to work for the airlines and currently am the Director of Operations for REDjet airlines (a startup carrier in the Caribbean)based in Barbados. Rock Chalk!

Played from 1989 - 1990. I live in Dallas, TC. Currently I am a Strategic Account Analyst for Walgreens. It's good to see the program progress. I still play in competitive leagues here in the Dallas Stars Men's Leagues. Of course, being in Dallas I've played with some of the kids that are on the club teams for Tech, UT, etc when playing drop-in hockey over the Summers--hopefully KU gets some good rivalries built.

I played my entire college career from 2002 to 2006. Currently, I work in outsides sales for a Fortune 200 company in Denver. KU hockey was truly one of the most important components to my college experience. I have the most amazing memories with an incredible bunch of guys. My freshman year, we were a beer league team that played about 8 games and by my senior year we were traveling the country playing 35+ game seasons. I'm proud to see how far the club has come. Keep up the good work!

KU Hockey has had a tough season to date. We are, however looking forward to matching up against NIU and SLU that present KU with opportunity to make a run at moving up in the MACHA standings. We also have a "Border Showdown" on the hirizon. Even though hockey doesn't have the same history within the Border Showdown as other sports do, we still care about representing KU to best of our ability. The Hockey Border Showdown is not just another game. This is the one game every year where passion and intensity are heightened. I don't need to worry about our club's physical and mental preparation. The prospect of representing an entire community in front of 5800 passionate hockey fans serves to draw the best out of our athletes.

KU Hockey played a tough Top 10 Central Division opponent in SIUE. After taking it on the chin game one, the guys fought back in game two. KU tied it’s season best offensive output of 4 goals. After spotting SIUE a 7 goal lead after 2 periods, KU finally played with speed and intensity, while outscoring SIUE 3-0 in the third period. The energy line of Tulini, Skelnik and Matt Kincaid SIUE's top scoring lines to a single even strength goal. Prokop, Gingrich and Kincaid again did a good job of controlling bodies and sticks in front of the defensive zone net, and did it penalty-free. 4 of 6 of Chase Pruitt’s penalties ended up in SIUE power-play goals. Elster blocked as many shots in game two as TJ. Schilar wins coaches award as “Player of the Weekend” after scoring 2 goals and added a helper in game 2 vs. SIUE. Schilar's 2-way play is a work-in-progress, but he continues to be real dangerous in the offensive zone.
