On December 24, 2004 the University of Kansas hockey team lost a friend and teammate. Connor Meigs, Omaha, Nebraska sophomore defenseman, died due to complications from injuries sustained in an auto accident a few days earlier.

The team retired his number 32 at a ceremony on February 3, 2006. The team would like to thank Connor's family and our fans for their support.
